When Salman Khan supported Sanjay Kapoor during Auzaar promotion

Bollywood star Salman Khan is known for the courtesy and kindness he extends to his colleagues. His former co-star and actor Sanjay Kapoor once recalled how Khan stepped up to help him unexpectedly during the promotion of their film, Auzaar.
Speaking to Bombay Times, Sanjay said, “When the hoardings of Auzaar came up, it had a big picture of Salman and my small picture, even though I had a better role. Salman called up our producer and said, ‘If you want to have this kind of publicity, then don’t put my name also. Sanjay stood by us.’ Salman made sure (it happened). That is how he is.”
Auzaar (1997) was the directorial debut of Salman’s brother and actor Sohail Khan.
Speaking about its casting, Sanjay Kapoor said, “I was a hot newcomer and despite it being a negative role, I agreed to do it at once when Sohail called me. Many actors had said no. Salman was a superstar at that time and I don’t know if Salman would remember this, but over a drink, he said to me at Piano Bar, ‘When you become a producer, I will do your film.’ They are a great family that way.”
On the work front, while Salman Khan was last seen in Tiger 3, Sanjay Kapoor appeared in the Netflix release, Murder Mubarak.
